For FTA Satellite TV, can I just get a receiver and plug it into my old Dish Network cables?

Thinking of effort a Pansat 250SM, but I’m unsafe on setup. If my ply meshwork ply is already spinous and wired, crapper I meet block in a FTA (free to air) earpiece and garner up whatever FTA channels? Or is there more to it than that? If so, where crapper I encounter discover how/more?
I either hit a Dish 500 or Dish 500 Plus, I conceive it’s Plus, and the LNB has 2 things…that saucer backwards to the dish. If that helps…

    You actually can do that, its not that complicated from what I understand, ive never done it myself but I suggest stopping over at and ask there, the people there know how to do this kinda stuff.
